First Baptist Church founded The Rock Youth Center across from Bozeman High School in 2006 as a safe place for students to gather. Since that time an average of over 100 students have visited The Rock each day during the school year, a clear indication of the need. Jason Bowker and Gary Cook are full-time staff at The Rock. Alison Curry and Tammy Cook serve part-time. The staff is assisted by volunteers from the church and the community.
The Rock is open on school days from 7:00-9:00am in the morning for coffee, during school lunch, and after school from 3:30-5:30pm.
